Concierge OSGi (Open Service
Gateway Initiative) Platform Support

aJile now offers Concierge OSGi platform.
The concierge OSGi framework has been ported
to JNIB for use with the CDC runtime.
Concierge is an established open source
project implementation of the OSGi R3
framework, and was designed from the ground
up for embedded uses. As such, it has
a small footprint and is written with
resource management in mind. The
framework starts with a minimal amount of
bundles, the System Bundle, plus OSGi R3
standard Start Level, Package Admin, and Log
services. Additionally, a variety of
open source and test bundles have been run,
including OSGi R3 standard Log (additional
implementations), HTTP, URL Handler, IO
Connector, and Configuration Management
services. Remote access to the
Concierge framework is provided through an
HTTP Shell, compliant with the Oscar
framework "shell" specification. This
allows for shell commands to be easily
added, and additional Java servlets to be
deployed at runtime with the HTTP service.
